A spectator has been arrested in Shanghai after running across the start-finish straight as cars were speeding down during a Formula One free practice session.
The man crossed over (safely) and hopped over a wall into the pitlane, and he was immediately apprehended by track officials. Some witnesses claim the invader ran into Ferrari’s garage and he asked to test one of their cars. Isn’t he so brave.
“Generally the car was feeling good and it was nice to get the running and the preparations. Hopefully that will stand me in good stead,” that’s what Hamilton told the BBC.
The escapade made Chinese officials embarrassed especially with entry on to the circuit where fancy cars reach speeds in excess of over 200mph. You can now imagine why it’s strictly prohibited. The FIA obviously started looking into the matter – they will most probably check promoters and circuit workers. Does this incident remind you of a similar one back in 2003?
